Fragrances can often reflect our mood and personality. a particular scent on an honest friend may smell quite differently on you as each fragrance reacts differently consistent with our own chemical makeup.

When testing a perfume during a store, make certain to attend about 10 minutes to permit the fragrance to react to your body chemistry before buying it. Smell it after the primary application then smell it again after waiting. This allow you to sample both the highest and middle notes of the scent and provides you an honest sense of how the fragrance will linger throughout the day.
Be sure to limit what percentage fragrances you are trying at just one occasion at the shop – stick with just 3 or 4 at a time. Otherwise your olfactory senses may become overwhelmed and you'll not be ready to tell one perfume from the other!
If you're concerned about an allergy , wait about an hour approximately after sampling the perfume. If no reaction occurs by that point , it's probably safe to travel ahead and splurge thereon new perfume!
Always apply fragrances on to your skin or hair, as some fragrances (especially parfums and eau de parfums which have a better concentration of oils) may cause discoloration on certain fabrics. Never spray fragrances directly on silk – it'll damage it!
How to pick the right perfume? |
If you wish to spritz a touch on your clothing, make certain to check it first on hidden area like an inner lining before spraying it everywhere yourself! this is often very true for delicate fabrics and “dry clean only” clothing.
I suggest changing your fragrance depending upon the season. In other words, choose lighter scents during the warmer weather and keep the stronger scents for the drier, cool weather. Heat intensifies the scent, so there's no got to douse yourself during a heavy scent during the summer. And if you're outdoors, remember that bees, wasps, hornets, and other flying bugs are interested in flowery fragrances (which is another good reason to stay to light, clean scents!)
Speaking of warmth , if you would like to stay that favorite perfume as fresh because the day you purchased it, keep the bottle during a cool, dark place. Keep the bottle in it’s original box, if possible. you'll even want to stay it within the fridge, so you'll have a refreshingly cool spritz of your perfume before heading out for the day!
